Monika has an Engineering degree in Architecture from Germany. She has worked in this field in Germany, England and Canada. Having a lifelong interest in art and photography she has taken courses in painting, printmaking and photography with various artists in the different countries she has lived in.

Monika has always had a particular affinity to the abstract and has found macro photography lending itself to portraying the more abstract details of mundane objects.
